We’re building 1Fort AI: an AI platform that automates the end-to-end broker workflow — gathering underwriting info, filling out apps, submitting to markets, analyzing quotes, generating proposals, and invoicing — so brokers can move faster and sell more.

We’re a tight-knit team in SoHo with experience across Google, BCG, and Coalition, blending deep skills in engineering, insurance, and growth.

Founding Engineer

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll help take Bind AI from 0 to 1, with the kind of scope and ownership typically expected from founders.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing, building, and deploying major features end-to-end
• Building systems brokers can trust with real workflows and real money
• Shaping product roadmap, culture, and technical strategy
• Mentoring engineers and maintaining robust, reliable systems
• Tackling tough insurance + workflow challenges in close collaboration with the entire team
• Supporting customers directly and helping us grow usage fast

What it takes

• 3+ years of software engineering experience at a prior startup
• Strong with Python/Django, React, TypeScript/JS, and REST APIs
• Comfortable wearing many hats in a fast-paced 0 → 1 environment
• Bonus points for insurtech, fintech, vertical AI, or workflow automation experience
